APPRENTICE WEBM Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 hi to all , i have a question , first i would like to thank all of you member on this site that keep this site alive . ok , on my site i have paypal as a payment option but there is also a credit card module , so my question is that credit card module " does it work ? if so , how does it charge the user or where does the money goes and how do i make or transfer the money . and one more thing , i only want to see the last four number from the credit card . i will be waiting for your replies .

It takes ther number stores part of the number in the data base and emails you the other numbers. To accept credit cards out side of your paypal account you will need to get a merchant account. you can talk to your bank or visit here http://www.oscommerce.com/about/gateways

But when I put in my credit card # and it's off by one digit (the same number of characters as the real # but one number has been changed) I get the message The credit card number entered is invalid. Please check the number and try again. How does it know that this is the wrong number if it is not using some sort of gateway to process the credit card. I tried this with several credit cards and got the same result with each of them. Thanks in advance for your response.
