kimber89 Posted April 4, 2007 Posted April 4, 2007 My poor brain is frazzled and I hope someone can help me. I FTP'd all the files to my site and when I go to /install I get this message: FATAL ERROR: register_globals is disabled in php.ini, please enable it! I am running PHP 5.2.1 and MySQL 4.1.21. I am at my wits end because I just had to uninstall my other shopping cart because it crashed for no apparent reason Saturday night. Their tech support is saying it's my host and my host is saying that they did nothing (no upgrade, move, etc.).
Guest Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Not 48 hours ago I was in tears over all this, so I feel your pain - but it does get better :) Okay, if I remember right, this is what I did..... in NotePad, write the words register_globals=on and save it in a file you title php.ini. Then upload that file to /public_html If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to find the original post I followed and lead you to it. jennifer

Thanks, Scott - I hadn't used that yet -quite handy, actually. I must have read it somewhere else though, so I'll keep looking. But that's where I found I had put it in my files, so it must have worked for me :) jennifer
