Paypal IPN+purchase without account

Hi I have some question on Paypal IPN and purchase without account.

 

I have read a lot about those on the many messages on the forum but it is hard for me to understand (being Dutch)

I want to make a store for downloadable products and I have that contribution installed and working

So I would like to get things automated as much as possible and make thins as easy as possible for the customers.

The normal registration is not relevant for me. Email and password would be enough so I am reading how to make all the other fields non required.

 

But The 'purchase without account ' contribution looks interesting but I is hard for me to understand what exactly will happen for the customer. And will this cooperate with Paypal IPN?

Which version of the Paypal IPN should I use?

 

I also remember reading about express checkout would that be of use?

 

How about customers that just pay and do not comeback to the shop? Also something I read last weeks

 

Sorry if these are 'dumb' questions I try to learn OSC but there is so many to read and to learn.

And I am so afraid to make mistakes that require to take many steps back:S
