edit the apperance of the catagory menu??

Hi folks take a look at the menu on my site in the left hand column, you can see that all sub catagories are displayed. i want it so that only the MAIN catagory is displayed then when someone clicks on it the sub catagory appears.

Hey there - i think you have your products and categories set up incorrectly. You need to move all the products into the separate categories. I think you have them as all top level products, not under each category.

 

I have this setup and get exactly what I want - this is a native function of OSC, so other than that - you have changed something that has broken the functionality of the category subcategory menu.

they are all in correct catagories, ie not all top level but this is a template store front and it was obviously changed by the designer? i need to no how to change it back, thanks

May be CSS related, but I doubt it.

 

Do you have the ability to change the files and upload originals? I would do that, and start with a fresh copy of that particular file from an OSC distribution.

 

catalog\includes\boxes\categories.php

 

is the one you should modify I believe.

 

If that is not the problem, than you have a larger issue and I would start with a fresh copy of OSC MS2 and go from there. I know that sounds lame, but the problem could literally be any number of things, and solving the issue would be harder than actually starting from scratch and modifying.
