Help/Advice needed

I am trying to create something like deviant art. The basic premise is that people can create and sell electronic goods. Be it software or art.

 

They just create an account, add there payment details, upload whatever they are selling, set the price and its done. I have never used osCommerce but i am pretty good with php.

 

Is there anything about which can provide the functionality that i need?

 

 

If not has anyone got any ideas, recommendations or articles which could help me get started?
