Warning on Configure.Php

My installation seemed to be going well until today. I started receiving this message on the top of my page.

Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/cutthe2/public_html/test/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file.

I understand that I need to reconfigure this file to 444 or maybe 644 security but I cannot locate the file through File Manager on my control panel and when I look at that file itself, I cannot seem to figure out how exactly I would need to edit to code to make the security change in the file itself. There does not seem to be a clear place where the file speaks to read, write, or execute.

Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks

If the site is on an Apache server then try using FTP to 'chmod' the files (change the permissions). Navigate to the file, right-click on it and use that to reset the permissions.

If your site is on a Windows server and you have a rubbish control panel (like Helm) then you may not be able to change file permissions using the File Manager.

Try contacting your host and ask them if they can set it for you if your not able to do it yourself. Most hosts will help you out .

Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.
