shellyky Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I didn't see any posts here on it, but bCentral is closing it's doors and will no longer accept any transactions after April 30 basically...so I need to come up with a solution to use since I can no longer use them. My processor is "Card Service International/Linkpoint Central" I've done a little searching in here for them and it seems others are using it and might be familiar with their options. Ideally, i'd love to just be able to enter some HTML onto my website to create an 'add' button and have a more custom cart (allowing me to have attributes and uppricing for those), shipping is no big deal as shipping is billed into my prices. Is this doable with their services? I see API and Connect as options but i can't make sense of them and which i need to get LOL If not, i'm willing to do an oscommerce install. Which has more success, API or Connect or what should i sign up for/add on to my plan (since it just shows "linkpoint central" and pretty much nothing in the admin panel but change password lol) Quote
shellyky Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 ok i took the plunge, im just gonna roll oscommerce with the API and see how it works out... im sure i'll have 1 million questions. This looks 100 times more complicated than authorize.net which i recommend to everyone else...lol oh well Quote

Linkpoint is one of the supported gateways and if you are staying with Concentric for your hosting their professional service group can assist you. Quote
shellyky Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 well i never used their hosting, i just used their 'gallery' view or copied the payment link to customers in email. I hate that it is happening, it was the perfect solution for us. Ive got the API installed/setup, i havent tested it yet but i assume it will work out ok. I'm trying to get the Paypal contrib working since we had paypal before with bcentral, i'd hate to take that option away for customers--cant figure it out for the life of me lol. i called linkpoint about which direction to go earlier today, and they were like trying to carry aconversation with a rock! Search for the PayPal IPN contribution. I think that you will like its fucntionality better. You also need to setup a test account with them. Lots of informaiton in the contribution. I have to test both PayPal and Paymentech. One of my tasks for this week. So much to do before the end of the month. Quote

How has it gone for you? Quote
[email protected] Posted April 24, 2007 Posted April 24, 2007 :'( Greetings all. I too have been forced to change from bcentral after 6 trouble free years. I am having trouble with the linkpoint API functionality. it seems to be set up properly in every way except the one that needs to be...It doesn't work. every time a customer tries to use it they get an error that says that there was an error in processing thier credit card, please wait ten minutes and try again??? Can anyone help with this one?
