Keep admin under shared SSL link

Recommended Posts

Hi - I'm trying to put the entire admin/ directory under my shared SSL link.

My admin/includes/configure.php reads like this :

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://ssldomain.com/mydomain.co.uk');

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module

So when I go to my admin/ section I type in :

https://ssldomain.com/mydomain.co.uk/admin/

but when I click on any of the links in the admin section it reverts to :

http://www.mydoamin.co.uk/admin/configurat...ation&gID=1

I want it to stay under :

https://ssldomain.com/mydomain.co.uk/admin/...ation&gID=1

Anyone know why this is happening ?

Thank you.

You could try:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'https://ssldomain.com/mydomain.co.uk');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://ssldomain.com/mydomain.co.uk');

Fantastci Ken - thank you very much.

This worked.

So - Now I guess I should implement an htaccess 301 redirect from the old url :

http://mydomain.co.uk/admin/

to

https://ssldomain.com/mydomain.co.uk/admin/

I assume this would be the best way to do this ?

Thanks again.

No need. Just update the bookmark, I think.
