how to list a modular product?

Hi,

 

any suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated.

 

I have a module product, the pci card can take up to two of two different modules (a, aa, b, bb & ab).

 

Next, it can up to 5 extra cards, each card can take those extra modules as well.

 

Its simply too cumbersome list every possible outcome on a single drop-down. I also dont want to list the possibility of ordering the modules loose, as then someone gets the wrong number to match their addon cards.

 

Anyone got a better suggestion than having 6 drop down menus, one for each potentiall-installed card?
