staradmire Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 I needed to redo my site. I am hoping that it is user friendly and inviting to shop. Please, any feedback, or suggestions you could offer would be very much appreciated. It is an adult novelty store no one under 18 please. www.starpleasures.com thank you
Guest Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 I have a few suggestions: - I don't think the pale yellow background matches the darker colours from the header or box backgrounds. - The header takes up half the screen. That is way too big. - The links at the bottom of the page to you info pages open new windows. - You should move the contact info from the privacy page to the Contact Us page. - Remove the stock OSC pics from the top right of each of the info pages. - You have "Always private, discreet shipping" written in big letters across every page, but nowhere is it described what you consider this to be. How is it discreet shipping?
Victor Wise Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Why not change your category pages into landing pages by adding headlines relevant to common google searches? In regards to reinforcing your discreet shipping - you need a policy page for this. Even though you use a large font, I'm sure that alot of people are not seeing your current assurance of privacy due to banner blindness. A policy page could side step this problem by allowing a more attention grabbing 'we guarantee discreet shipping'. If it were my website, I would change the category pages into landing pages as described above, and then write each page in the following format: Landing Page headline Your order is safe and secure we guarantee discreet shipping Then include a paragraph advertising how these products can benefit you, with your products displayed underneath. Best Regards, Victor Wise
staradmire Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 I want to thank you very much for your feedback. It is very helpful to have someone give you their outlook. I have had a heck of a time matching the color up with the streak in th border. I think I am getting closer with it though. I have been working on a page for the discreet shipping guarantee too. As well as the other suggestions you folks made. Again I really do appreciate it. Any others are very much welcome.

I do I create landing pages for the categories? I have searched and searched for this and can not find how to do it. Plenty of explanation on how it works. Can anyone help please? Thank you
