Direct URL linking in manufacturer infobox

I would like to make the link to the manufaturer (in the manufacturer box in the product page) being a direct link.

 

As deafult when clicking on the "Manufaturer Hompage" you go throught redirect.php and the URL looks like this:

http:// www .mypage.com/redirect.php?action=manufacturer&manufacturers_id=1

 

I woyuld like to make it SEO-friendly and look like this:

http:// www .themanufacturerssite.com/

 

 

Anyone seen a contribute solving this or have a hint what to change in the code?
