I would assume that you intend to make pieces according to what is ordered. If not, I do not know of the morality of selling based on price fluctuations. I don't know how you could get the exact price at the time someone is looking at your products. Really, what would the percentage fluctuation be anyway. Can you buy on the current price? Or do you already have the gold on hand? Your profit margins should cover the fluctuations. To change the gold rate, you would need a complete new module for gold rate that would work like currencies. Extensive coding could get you the weight in milligrams X gold price = price. However, this is beyond the capacity of any shopping cart, unless you can use a system like ring for price (not that such a module exists). Quote
