How can i display on my front page (first page) not the Latest added products, but the products from a category or a subcategory? ...? so...when a user enters my website it sees the products from the choosen category.

But don`t get me wrong, i don`t want a redirect, i want to display on my first page my 12 recommended products from a category...

let`s see who`s the B R A I N.

If you have 12 products in mind to highlight, then Featured (<--read that: recommended) Products (where you choose the products from whatever category you want, many or just one) will work.

Luck to you,

It's all just ones and zeros....

Put this code in index.php like below and change '1_2_3' to your category.

  if (!isset($cPath) || $cPath == ''){
$cPath='1_2_3';
$cPath_array = tep_parse_category_path($cPath);
$cPath = implode('_', $cPath_array);
$current_category_id = $cPath_array[(sizeof($cPath_array)-1)];
 }

------

require('includes/application_top.php');

 if (!isset($cPath) || $cPath == ''){
$cPath='1_2_3';
$cPath_array = tep_parse_category_path($cPath);
$cPath = implode('_', $cPath_array);
$current_category_id = $cPath_array[(sizeof($cPath_array)-1)];
 }

// the following cPath references come from application_top.php
 $category_depth = 'top';
 if (isset($cPath) && tep_not_null($cPath)) {
 ......
