konac Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 I have problems with the installation of the osCommerce. After uploading files and setting permissions (i followed Vger instructions), i typed in my browser http://www.mydomain.com/catalog/install/ and the page was not the installation page! It was - IISPassword The page cannot be displayed There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed. It is most likely that configuration files for this url are corrupted. I know that php is installed and running on my server and the mysql database also(versions suported by osCommerce). SO PLEASE HELP. What is the problem???

Its the .htaccess file. You can use .htaccess files with Windows-based hosting but not in the format they come in with OsC. Rename the .htaccess files (there are about three in total in various places) or just delete them and it should work.
