Change all stock priced at £4.99, to £7.99

Hi there,

 

I wonder if anyone may be able to help me with this. Sorry if it's very obvious! I have several hundred 12" records listed in my store at £4.99. Well, I really need to change every product (record) whose price is £4.99, to £7.99.

 

I wondered if there was a quick bit of SQL to apply to the database to change those products whose price is £4.99, to the new price, instead of going through each one and doing it manually?

 

If anyone who knows SQL or who has done a similar operation on their database could possibly help, I'd be really grateful.

1) Backup your database!! If this doesn't work, you're going to have to go through and manually reset all of these prices.

 

2) The query you're looking for is this:

UPDATE products SET products_price = 7.99 WHERE products_price = 4.99;
