Guest Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hello- I am brand new to the osCommerce world and I had some general questions. I had an employee who was handling all of our internet items, website, osCommerce, etc. Well, he has quit and I am now needing to get some training on how this all works. Does anyone know, is there a tutorial some place that I can take a look at? Here is my main problem. We have this great online store for our small hot tub business, and I have no idea how to change anything in that store. I noticed that there are a lot of errors and I need to fix them but don't even know where to go to edit the store. Can someone point me in the right direction? I'm sure I will be visiting this forum quite often and asking some really dumb questions, but I would like to understand it a little better!! Thanks in advance, Chris
zefeena Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi, I'm far from an expert here, but seen as no-one else seems to be answering! You need to log on to you store admin, i.e www.yourdomain.com/catalog/admin, you will likely need a log in (user name) and password, hopefully you either know these or they are saved to the computer. Once in, click on catalog and you should see your items. You simply click an item and click edit, and change what you need. Not sure what you can do if you don't know the password!!! Running a botched up version of osCommerce Online Merchant v2.3.4 bootstrap with the dresscode theme installed, numerous add-ons, terrible coding, terrible website, but will have to make do until I have made up for my losses and can risk shutting down for a couple of weeks while I start all over again. - I did not install my program but am endeavouring to fix it with your help.

I do have the username and password for the administration site, and I was able to view where I can make changes to the items in the store. My main problem is that I have quite a few pictures that are coming up blank, like with the little red X. Like the continue with checkout tab, the login tab, things of that nature. Just trying to make it look a little nicer you know! Anyone direct me in the direction I need to go? Thanks again.
