Guest Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi, I am new to the forums and new to osCommerce. I was wondering if anyone can share with me the easist way to edit the text on my store pages? For example: on the index page on the store, I would like to change the text. I was almost positive that I can do this via my browser. I found some documentation that shows that I can edit these pages via the adminstration tool when I am logged in to the adminstrative account but my control panel looks completely different than the one shown in the documentation and none of the options are there that they say I should click. So far I have been editing these pages manually but I would liek to take advantage of the easisy way possible for now becasuse I need to get this shop and and running for my client ASAP. Please, any help wouldbe greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Guest Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 I am in the same situation. I had an employee handling all of this and he has since quit. Now I am totally new to this and have no idea how to edit my pages. I had submitted a post asking for basically the same help with these questions, then I saw your post. I hope someone can help us with this. Cheers, Chris
LisaC Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The easiest way to get started is to look through teh Knowledge base located here http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/osCommerce/I...on_and_Upgrades Use an HTML editor or PHP editor and FTP the pages up - that would be the easiest way. Or you can find the files in the admin and go that route.
ardley216 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 ok but is there a way where you can do it visually? not through all the coding, just like standard HTML, this would speed up everything... is this possible? Ardley Store:Gadget-Net
