ejmo Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Hi, I am having problems the the image url being limited to 64 digits. Before uploading the products using easypop the image url is correct. After uploading the image does not show and when retreiving the db the image url as been cut of to 64 digits. This happens whatever the url, with http:// or without and the number of forward slashes does not make any differance, still 64 digits. Is there a setting in osc or is this a problem with my host (the product desc is going to over 150 digits so I think it is more likely in osc). Can anyone help with this? Cheers, Phil.
ErollorD Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 this is set in mysql database. I tell how to change this when I get home. But there is one problem, why do you need image that is bigger than 64 characters...??

I cannot change the url so need the settings to allow for more than 64 digits. I have permission to display the images directly from their host. I do not wish to save them myself as one affilate has over 1500 products and there are dozons of affiliates which I can use. Thanks, Phil.

I went into my sql on my host and there is a long list of folders. Click on these and you can amend the settings such as image length. On my host you have to click on the pencil (1and1). You will need to upload the db again before it takes effect. You will have to make several changes for the this to work on every page of your site. I found out what to change by uploading the db directly from the host using export and then searching for "64" to see where the changes needed to be made. It does not help with a pop-up image off site but I am sure that there is help for this problem, I am only using a thumbnail so will be removing the "click to enlarge" option. Cheers, Phil.
