pulp2 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Hi, I'm trying to install OScommerce. I am copying and pasting my exact Database Sever Ip-Address into the Database server field and am getting the fallowing error: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'My Ip-Adress'. I've also called and doublechecked the IP Address with my web host. The only way I've deviated from the installation instead of the path http://yourserver.catalog.install, I have it in http://yourserver.oscommerce.catalog.install. Would this affect the installation? What else can I do to troubleshoot this? Thanks!
colindh Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I'm having the same problem. Can someone give a sample of what it should look like or how they entered their info in? I think that would help greatly. Feel free to go further in depth as well.
usernamenone Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The database server path info is in your control panel on your hosted site. Look where you sat up your database, in some cases it is localhost and some not. I'm having the same problem. Can someone give a sample of what it should look like or how they entered their info in? I think that would help greatly. Feel free to go further in depth as well.
