erniethemilk
When my customers place an order with me, I am not receiving an e-mail confirmation to say the order has been placed and paid for. The only confirmation I get is when I look at my paypal account, or from the e-mail I get from paypal to tell me new funds have been added. Can someone point me in the direction of how I put this right on my site please. Thanks :)

Velveeta
Thanks for the quick response I have that switched on, but I don't get an e-mail to tell me an order has been placed :) When you say "switched that on", you mean you actually plugged an email address into that field right? You didn't literally type "on" or something into it? If you did enter an email address, have you confirmed that it's spelled correctly? And as a last check, you can edit your checkout_process.php file and search for tep_mail to make sure that after the confirmation mail has been sent, there's another check for: if (SEND_EXTRA_ORDER_EMAILS_TO != '') { And that it makes another call to tep_mail to mail it to whatever extra address(es) are specified from the admin console... Richard. Goodness me now you're getting technical on me :) I have an email address plugged into the field where I assume email confirmation of orders will be sent to me to tell me when a customer places an order on me. As far as editing files, I haven't done anything, but will have a quick look.... I'm not too great with editing files tho :'( Thanks for the info tho! zeroa
i have the same problem i''m not always (but sometimes) getting a confirmation email when people buy via paypal..... i check the admin section and it always keeps their customer record (name/email).. but doesnt always keep their order (items/qty) but i still get paid by paypal... is it because they are not clicking a "back to store" button on paypal.. is there a fix??? because i keep having to email people asking them what they ordered.
