David Johnson
I am currently with Chronopay, however I am just changing to merchant solutions. They have e-mailed a .zip file with their payment module (merchsolutions). I have made a search of this forum but that payment module doesn't show up. Is anyone able to give me a link as to how to change from one module to the other. Unfortunenately the person that looks after my site is away for two weeks. I have some limited ability to using OScommerce, so is it just a question of deleting the Chronopay module and substituting for the new Merchant Solutions module, or am I being too simplistic? Any help or a link to step by step method of performing this task would be greatly appreciated. David.

In this case, unzip the file on your pc and check to see if there are install instructions. Follow the instructions. Backup your database and any files that need to be edited. One would have to assume that no existing files need to be edited. The osc files are ftped to your site to the correct locations. In your stores admin, go to payment modules and install from there. You probably have to put some vital information in, so you then edit at the same place. Thoroughly test it. When satisfied, you can uninstall the from Chronopay your stores admin. If the above is difficult or you do not understand, wait two weeks.
David Johnson
If the above is difficult or you do not understand, wait two weeks. Thanks for the reply albeit a little sarcastic ;) I have since visited their site and downloaded the module from there. It does contain more files including this install text. Intabill Inc - OS Commerce Payment Modules. This package includes the following files: - includes/modules/payment/intabill_ec.php (Electronic check payments module) - includes/modules/payment/intabill_cc.php (Credit Card payments module) - includes/languages/english/modules/payment/intabill_ec.php (Electronic check payments module) - includes/languages/english/modules/payment/intabill_cc.php (Credit Card payments module) Simply upload the appropriate files in their associated directories into your OS Commerce installation. Then, to activate the modules, proceed to OS Commerce Admin section, and select on to the configuration / modules / payments section, then you will be able to see the following modules which you can enable: - Intabill Credit Card Payments (VISA/MASTERCARD) - Intabill Electronic Check Payments You can then edit them, and enter the SiteID that you can retrieve in the Websites Management section of your Merchant Solutions Administration Interface. Furthermore, to complete the payment process successfully for customers, you must set the Success URL and Failure URL's in the Websites Management section with Intabill to your OS Commerce installation's process_payment.php file such as: http://www.mysite.com/oscommerce/checkout_process.php I would assume I would just replace the existing Chronopay files in the directories mentioned above with the new files. It's not commercially viable to wait two weeks for the return of the person who looks after my site as Coopco suggests, so I will have to find a local company that can make the appropriate changes. I just thought as a support community I may have been afforded something a little more constructive. Many thanks anyway, David.

You are changing a live shop and it is extremely easy to make errors when editing, copying files to different locations, etc. Good luck with it. David Johnson
Thanks Coopco, I followed the instructions and it's all now in place. I realise now that I did not have to delete the chronopay module, just install the new Intabill module that I uploaded. I apologise for the 'sarcastic' reference. I now re-read your reply in the helpful spirit that is was intended. For a novice at this, it just seemed rather daunting and I assumed it was going to be a difficult task. Very many thanks for your help, David.
