Please help. I only need to collect sales tax in my state. I set up the tax module and it at first it worked fine. But as I was testing it with different products, it started giving me a wrong total, then only started adding tax to the shipping and now, it will not even show in the total anymore.

I did not change any coding.

PLEASE help me. I have to go live in 7 days and this is a nighmare.

It should not change for different products. Are you using the same login to test each time? Have you installed contributions? Are your zones set up correctly?

I believe my zones are set up correctly. I went through the steps several times one by one and I am pretty sure I have installed everything correctly. I have continued to play with it and here is my problem now.

The tax is either on or off. I only want it to compute on my orders shiped to Washington State Customers and Washington is the only zone I have set up. But at checkout it adds tax to every order no matter where I ship it to. Does the program look to the ship to address when determining which zone to use? I am using USPS for my shipping.

Thanks for any ideas!

I am unfamiliar with USPS. Do you want to ship to Washington only?

I am in Australia, and I have my tax set to Australia and the rest of the world,

I reside in Washington State and have to collect tax only on items shipped to other people in Washington State. I ship items all across the United States and I do not have to collect tax on anyone else.

OK, it sounds like you set up to collect sales tax in one area only, so you have 2 tax zones set up, Washington State and the rest of the world.

You have one tax class set up and one tax rate.

In admin/modules/shipping/whatever method try

Tax Class

--none--

Shipping Zone

--none--

Don't know if it will work.
