Remove address and contact information

I am trying to remove the address and contact requirements for new accounts. I have a free download only store and customers only want to give their e-mail address and name. Eventually I will require this info for purchases of downloads. right now I am giving away free information (downloads) to build a customer list. All I need is the e-mail address and name. I have spent hours looking throught the forums looking for something that will work for me. any help is greatly appreciated.

Ideally at some poiont , a contributiuon may be developed that removes the shipping/billing address requirement for free products, but requires this information for paid products. Once again. any help would be appreciated. :'(

By the way, I am using the standard download for OScommerce with free of charge contribution and free shipping.
