Urgent problems with prices, tax rates and weight changing in database

Hi,

 

I have an urgent problem with a store that is supposed to open today. If I change the field weight directly in the database (using a client or phpmyadmin) the price column for that product will change to 99999999999.9999.

 

If I change the price the weight column changes to 99.999.

 

Also, the tax_rate in column tax_rates changes to 999.9999 now and then.

 

What could this be? Help is very very much appreiated, I do not know what to do!
