Guest Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Folks, I'm a newbe, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.... My hosting provider has two sets of web roots, /httpdocs (not secure) and /httpsdocs (secure). There doesn't seem to be an alias between the two - it seems a bit odd to have a separate directory structure for the http and the https... I have installed the SSL cert just fine. I can also install osCommerce just fine. What I don't understand, is how to install osCommerce so the cart will go secure when needed. After several hours of googling I see 3 solutions: 1 - install osCommerce in both directories (you must be kidding...) 2 - install osCommerce in the normal web root and create an alias for the https directory 3 - just install it all in the https directory and make the entire site secure. What is the suggested method? Also, any pros or cons to creating your SSL cert as 'www.yourdomain.com' vs 'yourdomain.com'? Thanks, russg
