soregonmale Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 For now, I set the PayPal return url as my main site page. However, before the store goes live, I'm gonna create a "thankyou" page, letting the customer know they've completed the transaction, thank you for the order, blah, blah, blah.
Guest Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 what am i suppost to set my paypal account for the return url? i tested it out by making a valid purchase with a credit card but when i went in the admin panels it said i had no orders? it depends on which paypal IPN you used, some IPN suggested not to activitate the return URL. in any case , you may try to link it to checkout_process.php http://www.mysite.com/checkout_process.php or http://www.mysite.com/shop/checkout_process.php or http://www.mysite.com/catalog/checkout_process.php depends on where your OSC installed. Hope it would help. Regards Jason
chooch Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Yes, the correct URL return for paypal is the checkout_process page. Upon receiving fixes and advice, too many people don't bother to post updates informing the forum of how it went. Until of course they need help again on other issues and they come running back! Why receive the information you require in good faith for free, only to then have the attitude to ignore the people who gave it to you? There's no harm in saying, 'Thanks, it worked'. On the contrary, it creates a better atmosphere. CHOOCH
