Ulas Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 How can I edit those texts on the main page telling me that I should protect my admin with htacces and stuff. I used to know that but now im lookingfor over an hour but i cant find it. I cant find it in the manual too. Maybe oscommerce staff should consider making their products user friendly? Which file do I need to edit? It isnt index.php of default.php or the stylesheet.
spax Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Do you mean this text? This is a default setup of the osCommerce project, products shown are for demonstrational purposes, any products purchased will not be delivered nor will the customer be billed. Any information seen on these products is to be treated as fictional. If you do, that is quite user friendly as it tells you where it is: Editing Page Texts The text shown here can be modified in the following file, on each language basis: [path to catalog]/includes/languages/english/index.php That file can be edited manually, or via the Administration Tool with the Languages->English->Define or Tools->File Manager modules. The text is set in the following manner: define('TEXT_MAIN', 'This is a default setup of the osCommerce project...'); Although I wouldn't use the File Manager if I were you. Much better to use a proper text editor.
