rerdlen Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I delete a product, but people still find it through search engines? Everything looks correct on the backend and on the front end, but then I'll get a order on a product I deleted months ago. As I've been trying to figure this out I figured out that I could find the products if I type in the exact product name in google. How can I fully get rid of these products?
Guest Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I hope someone comes along and answers your question, as the same thing happened to me around a month ago. I had an item for sale in my website...sold it elsewhere at least 6-7 months ago...and deleted the item via the Admin panel. But, somehow...someway...this item made it into a buyer's shopping cart and they were able to check out successfully and 'buy' the item recently. It was not in the website. It was nowhere to be found in Admin. It had been deleted ages ago. I was pulling her order when I discovered I did not have the item...went into Admin to see what was going on...and the item was not even there. How can this happen?
redbone Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I'm not a pro by any means but do you have 'recreate sessions' in the admin set to true or false? There is some talk about this in the forums so perhaps search will help you better answer your questions.
Guest Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 In your Admin panel....Store > Configuration > Sessions > Recreate Session
♥toyicebear Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 what might have happened is that a customer has been logged in and added it to his/her cart but not finished the checkout at that time....... Then comming back later and logging in , the item would still be in their saved cart so they can just proceed to checkout and buy the item.... jasonabc Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Set "Prevent Spider Sessions" and "Recreate Sessions" both to "true" in Admin > Configuration > Sessions Jason My Contributions: Paypal Payflow PRO | Rollover Category Images | Authorize.net Invoice Number Fix
rerdlen Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 For some reason I don't have a sessions section.
