I see that no one gave any suggestions or you didn't post back if you fixed it. I get double emails when I do anything. Like I tested "Tell A Friend". I got 2 emails regarding this. Also when I place an order (testing), I get 2 emails. I have several email accounts that I have the ability to pretend to be a customer. Did you or anyone else find a solution? facswife Posted May 22, 2004 Share Posted May 22, 2004 I fixed it seconds after posting the above message. I'm such a goofball. I went to check my admin/email options configuration. I had "Email Transport Method" sent to "SMTP". So I was getting double emails. I changed it to "sendmail" because my server is not windows. Guest Posted July 28, 2005 Share Posted July 28, 2005 Ok I am getting this problem also. However I am actually getting two orders from customers instead of one. For example, if they buy 10 x widgets, I will get two orders, each for 10 x widgets each, and I know the 2nd is an actual order as it has removed the extra 10 from quantity of widgets available. So I have to delete this 2nd order and get it to restock quantity. Any help would be appreciated plz :) This appears to be random, sometimes it happens, others it doesnt. Running on a Linux server and using Sendmail. Email Transport Method was set to "sendmail" but the Email LineFeeds was set to "LF" Changed Email Linefeeds to "CRLF" and that fixed the problem with double e-mails.
