Amped Amphibian Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hello! 1. I need to add a text attribute to my products so that they can add what date they'd like to do their purchased activity on. I sell activities and can't find anthing to help me add this attribute. 2. How do i set up a spot on the credit card payment check-out for the 3-4 digit code on the back of the credit card? I can't run cards without it, and can't figure out how to add this. Please help!!
jasonabc Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 1. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,160 2. Depends what payment module you are using. The Authorize.net AIM module has this included. There are also some contributions that add this in. Search for CVV. Amped Amphibian Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 1. Thank you so much!! 2. Any idea where to find it in contributions? I just need to add it in. I'm not using a module, just taking the CC information manually off of the Oscommerce admin and running it at the office. This is the only way we can do it here. If you can point me in the right direction, i'd be indebted! Thanks.
Amped Amphibian Posted March 21, 2007 Author Posted March 21, 2007 What is CW? I tried searching for it and it won't let me put in a 2 letter search.
jasonabc Posted March 21, 2007 Posted March 21, 2007 It's not CW - it's C V V (two v's). Card Verification Value. Search the contributions for it - there are several that work with the credit card capture module. Amped Amphibian Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 That worked great!! I used the cvv2_with_details. I deleted the details and it works great. I'm still having trouble finding a contribution that works well to add text attributes. I tried the one you recommended and it had so much other stuff, that It wasn't gonna work for me. I'll keep looking. Thanks again for all the help!!
Guest Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Try this for text attributes http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2618/ You can use it for any type of text input for options. I used it to allow people to add custom messages or other options for certain items. You can set up the field name(s) to "Date of Activity" or anything you want. Don't let the name fool you there are many more uses other than imprints. And it's easy to install. Much easier than Option Type Feature. Hope this helps
Amped Amphibian Posted April 7, 2007 Author Posted April 7, 2007 Thank you. I added it and when I try and test it, I can get to the product and then put in my dates in the field. When I continue on it brings up a blank screen saying: 1054 - Unknown column 'products_id' in 'where clause' What am I doing wrong? Am I messing up in the database? When it says to add default '' does that mean leave it blank? Thanks
