Mooby Posted October 18, 2002 Posted October 18, 2002 heya ok, i have just taken on a full time job and am looking to implement oscommerce into the existing system. All of the existing clients are in an SQL database and they are looking to host their own site on a machine connected to their network. What i am looking to do is install oscommerce with all of the credit card details and users info to be stored on a separate machine on the network. What i am after is general info about the security involved (an SSL certificate will be used and the other machine won't be online) and also ideas on where to get started and what will be involved any ideas suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks Matt p.s. is this too big a task to configure oscommerce or should i go about starting my own system from the ground up?
addaction Posted October 18, 2002 Posted October 18, 2002 Run the full MySql database on the other machine. In stead of localhost as the place for your database, put the other machines address there.
