kudviss Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Hi, I have a new website.. when there were few products on it (photos), it was fast.. but recently i added lot of photos, but the pages are shown slowly. When i switch from page to page it takes about 2 minutes to appear, which makes the costumers get fed up and leave the store.. Please help me.. thanks

kudviss Posted March 17, 2007 Author Posted March 17, 2007 I have installed this contribution : automatic_thumbnail-2006-07-11 by olaf The author said that Each picture in your Shop will be chached in the "/catalog/images/imagecache" directory in the right size and with the same name as the original. But i cannot see this directory in my catalog/images.. i tried to creat it even if the author did not requir us to do so, but the ftp said i don't have the premissions.. and i also don't see any change in admin neither in my live shop side.. Can anyone tell me please what does this contribution do exactly ? I mean its utility
