Passing correct values between visitor and members carts

I've just implemented the Option Tyoe v1.1 contribution which allows for personalised text as a product option. I've also changed this slightly so that rather than a 32-character length limited text field, the customer can use a textarea box with a 255-character maximum length for their personalised text.

Everything is (finally) working ok....except.....

 

When browsing as a visitor, you can enter your text, put it in the cart, fine - but then the text is truncated to 32-character length when you log on with your user account

 

Any ideas...?
