Shop Disapeared Overnight

I had mcrypt and mhash installed AFTER I installed oscommerce. Do not kow if it is related but all I get is a blank screen.

surely your server is temporaly out of service.

The blank page you are seeing is indicative of a PHP error. You probably edited your configure.php file and left out a ; or a single quote on a line. Start there. The easiest way to find is if you have access to your server error logs just look at the errors there and see what file and line number they are originating from.

I did a totally new php installation and the shop still does not appear.

 

This seems to stems from when I got Mcrypt and mhash installed in preparation for the CPI integration. My host says

 

Is there an upgrade of osCommerce? You are running the latest build of PHP anyways, so there's no way to fix it from that angle. You need to see about a fix from the osCommerce people, if possible. Something isn't interacting well with this script, so you need to fix it in the script."

Mcrypt is a file encryption program for unix

Mhash provides a uniform interface to a large number of hash algorithms. These algorithms can be used to compute checksums, message digests, and other signatures

It's definitely an issue of your configure.php.

 

When you try to enter the shop from the main page anything works fine. Check the SERVER, DOMAIN and CATALOG entries for any typo.

Do you have access to your server error logs as vasttech asked? Your webhost should be able to provide more specific help then just "Something isn't interacting well with this script", there must be errors being generated somewhere by some file(s).
