Brunswick Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 You can also do it the other way around, then you only have to edit 1 file , products_info.php . Move all the main product pictures into a new folder name..lets say, big , then put all the thumbnails in your main image folder. Change the pop-up picture path in products_info.php to get the image from the big folder. I have looked in product_info.php (could not find products_info.php) to insert the path to my larger images and wasn't sure which line to edit and how. Anybody? -Hank :)
usernamenone Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Not needed. Just make sure that your product images are no wider than 500px and that you have saved them at a resolution of around 72. Your site should download quickly and you will save space by using 1 smaller image.

The person on who's behalf I'm doing this is really fussy about image quality and for good reason since this is going to have an impact on sales. I don't have a problem with creating two seperate images to give him the quality he's looking for. What I need is a simple? method of re-directing the path in the pop-up to go to an image with the same name but in a (large image) secondary directory. Any suggestions on this? -Hank

My problem is, let's say the image is 350 x 206, it looks good. But, when oscommerce creates the thumbnail, it doesn't look so good. Any suggestions?
spax Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Just use a thumbnail contribution. You will only need the large image then.
