renevdb Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 We are a store that does only COD and checks as we specialize in fresh stuff. We are now receiving more and more request from people wanting to get our stuff and we found a way of savely sending it by mail. No I was looking into some Authorize.net accounts but the monthly and statement fees are high. What is a thrust worthy account that only charges per sale and accepts Visa/MC.

vasttech Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 When you start dealing with credit card rates and the internet you will find they are pretty much standard across the industry. If you are small, I would recommend PayPal as they are probably the best and easiest for small businesses without a significant amount of purchases. Otherwise, the rates are ultimately controlled by Visa/MasterCard/Amex/Discover and companies like Authorize.net are bound to those rates. If you have a good banking relationship with a big name bank, such as Bank of America, you can sometimes get more affordable rates through them, but most often they will actually be a white label of Authorize.net and Cardservice International. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
