Acetylene Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Hi, Order process emails are being sent to the store owner, but customers do not receive any emails from this store, not even using the manual Admin email customer form. I tried installing a virgin oscommerce store on the same server to see if it was a mistake I had made in configuring the main store, but it did not work either. Is this a problem with my server settings? When I searched, I found another person saying their ISP had sorted it out but they did not say exactly what the problem was. My ISP is dumb as a doornail and I would rather fix it myself if I possibly can. I have full control of my server using PCAnywhere. Unfortunately, I'm very inexperienced at PHP and would apprediate any help or guidance. Thank you!
omar2886 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Surely you'll have to contact to your server to tell him about the problem, because may be they'll have to activate this function for you.
Guest Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 I have an opp problem and order sent to custmer no E mail to store owner
Acetylene Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 Artsoba, I was having the problem at first too. I worked around it by using a different email address for the store owner. I'm currently using my gmail account as the store owner account and it is working, at least to send emails to the store owner.
omar2886 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Which mailing system do you use? Phpmailer or SMTP?
Acetylene Posted March 16, 2007 Author Posted March 16, 2007 I set it to CRLF and it didn't seem to changne anything. Still sends email to store owner but not to customer. Thank you for your continuing help!
omar2886 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Well, I think that if you haven't change nothing in the php files, now you have the mailing configuration all right. So just can tell you to contact your server, this problems are very common in Windows servers. This is the reason (and because is more secure) because is beter to use Unix based servers.
Guest Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 mine is unix but still have aproblem. no mail to store owner in orders. but contact us is working good. also after orders an empty mail goes to custmers
Acetylene Posted March 19, 2007 Author Posted March 19, 2007 Well, my ISP is an idiot. They have no clue. Has anyone here had experience with configuring Windows NT to work properly with sending out emails on oscommerce?
