Installation on windows server

Anybody here install in windows server ? I can't get the installation done.

I have tried some of the topic solution but it just don't work. How anyone out there will help me out.

It should be......... Do you have the requirements on your server to install oscommerce.

 

Posting server info might get you some answers that will help............ Not just that it won't work. Pulling teeth isn't much fun!

Well that is the problem.

I thought you had a localhost server and not a hosted server.

 

You need to be on a linux box and what apps do you have on the windows that can not be moved to a linux. You are trying to run asp as php and it aim't gona work.

I am having the same problem....

The install will not go to step 2. It keeps going back to the Step 1 window (Import Catalog Database, etc).

I am running localhost via Microsoft Vista IIS, PHP 5.2.1, and mySQL 5.0.

what's the different between localhost server and a hosted server ? It can run both php and asp smoothly. not a problem at all.

 

my hosted server is a windows server and yes, i'm using asp and asp.net stuff.

but my server does support php apps.

you need to set register_globals and register_long_arrays to ON in your php.ini file.

 

That will get you past STEP 1 but that's pretty much everything I could get out from it.
