usernamenone Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 Well that is the problem. I thought you had a localhost server and not a hosted server. You need to be on a linux box and what apps do you have on the windows that can not be moved to a linux. You are trying to run asp as php and it aim't gona work.
mmeinhar85 Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 I am having the same problem.... The install will not go to step 2. It keeps going back to the Step 1 window (Import Catalog Database, etc). I am running localhost via Microsoft Vista IIS, PHP 5.2.1, and mySQL 5.0. Max
usernamenone Posted March 17, 2007 Posted March 17, 2007 localhost needs lamp installed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_WAMPs hosted needs Linux

It can run both php and asp smoothly. not a problem at all. my hosted server is a windows server and yes, i'm using asp and asp.net stuff. but my server does support php apps.
raindogmx Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 you need to set register_globals and register_long_arrays to ON in your php.ini file. That will get you past STEP 1 but that's pretty much everything I could get out from it.
