muhsinb Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 I was just wondering if anyone has wrote a contribution or such whereby you can store your downloadable products on another site/domain/host and once the customer has paid they get sent a link to this site/domain/host? I could do with something that works like this. Cheers

In order for this to be possible however there will be some requirements on the server side that your store runs on.

Hi, i solved this by moving over to a dedicated server, with lots of disk space and bandwidth. So far so good. Cheers

Cheers Glad to hear that you found a solution. I didn't really have a choice here so I hammered through to a solution. Could have been easier than what I finally came up with but I'm dealing with two different server setups one with PHP 4.3.x and one with PHP 4.4.x. Had to use a combination of cURL, redirection, XML, host request checking, JavaScript, and some .htaccess modification. In the end, however, I formed a pretty solid remote downloads hosting solution. If anyone else has a need for this I'd be happy to share. I might try to compile a contribution for this. Cheers!
