jayeskreezy Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Ok so I have a store that I've installed a few contributions on and I want to make sure they work before installed. Most of these involve payment modules though or something to do with the order like fancier invoice. Well, is there a way to make sure these work without actually making a purchase or without making the site go live? Also, are there certain things or numbers you can enter for CC numbers and such to make sure that nowhere gets charged, but it works. Thanks in advance!
omar2886 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 you could try averithing you want in a oscommerce in your pc after making any change in the Website using EasyPhp. After installing this program in your pc, and introducing the oscommerce original folder in the www directory inside the EasyPhp folder. Then you could open the explorer and go to 127.0.0.1 to start the oscommerce install. After this, you could try any contribution or change you want without accesing FTP. This is the best method for what you want, you'll have to read more about this to know how to use it.

Just install a second instance of OSC on your server in a new directory. Then save the new /includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php files locally then upload your entire existing site overwritting the new directory. then upload your saved config files into the new directory. you now have a duplicate testing site - in the exact same environment as your live site. david
