Guest Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 If you have a hosting control panel like cpanel or plesk you need only to login to your hosting control panel. Look for password protected directory /admin and add another username and password to it and you can then login with that information i can't seem to login using the default id and password though I haven't changed it:[email protected] admin have tried this method suggested on the forum amending the htpasswd file. satish Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 if cpanel has password protect it will work for sure. The logic is in .htaccess we specify a file that has the user name and password encypted. So when we place a user name and password it goes to the specified file(htpasswd) and compares if successful You continue.
