Guest Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Searched but no luck, I ran into a problem with catagory images not showing up. I purchased a template package from monstertemp, the template has had all catagory image and subcatagory images removed from templates. When i add a subcatagory w/image. the images will not show. Im trying to add catagories, that have products in them, but i wanted to add a subcatagory called "by design" and have the subcatagory images show versus products only in this particular sub. I was wondering WHICH TEMPLATE i have to alter to put it back, and WHAT CODE i need to get this feature added again.
Jack_mcs Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 There's no way to tell for sure since the template makers usually alter the code quite a bit from standard oscommerce code. But it should be in the file that you want to display the image in. So if you want to add the image in the home page, look in index.php. To find the place, search for HEADING_TITLE. If the template maker didn't remove that, then the image code would go right after it. Guest Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 cool, little closer to my problem see for some reason subcatagory images arent activated and it takes me to a weird page if i have a subcatagory with no products, otherwise it just shows the porducts if there are any heres an example http://www.johnnyangeltees.com/index.php?cPath=1 http://www.johnnyangeltees.com/index.php?cPath=2 see the difference? there tech department sucks, its one thing to deactivate something like this in admin, but to leave out ANY option to have sub cat images from the templates entirely is just wrong. if they dont help, i hate to say it, im either chargingback my card or blasting this template all over the net.
