Sorry I am somewhat new to scripting, so could someone help me out, I had most of my database configured and then this happend. Anything would be appreated
Jan0815 Posted October 16, 2002 Posted October 16, 2002 Let me do some educated guesses: You are using a rather cheap hosting solution on a shared server. This is a typical problem of these kind of setups. You share the database server with many other customers and the ISP has limited the amount of concurrent connections. When many customers connect to the databse it runs out of connections and when your osCommerce wants a connection it gets denied. Solution: - contact your provider and ask him to move your database to less frequented database server. - get a better ISP - get your own dedicated server. Hosting costs. And eCommerce needs good hosting. You can't have everything. That's why trains have difficulty crossing oceans, and hippos did not adapt to fly. -- from the OpenBSD mailinglist.
