Hi, can anyone please tell me an easy way to edit the prices of the products. I have more than 100 item that belong to the same categorie and have the same price. It needs a long time to edit all the items prices. So I am looking for an easy and fast way to do so.

If someone says EasyPopulate, please kindly explain how, as I find it a bit complicated due to all the variabes in excel sheet.

Any suggestion is welcome.

Thank you in advance for your help.

my shop maintain around 1000 items that frequently editing, easypopulate only a choice for text or xls import/export tools for OSC.

You have to indirectly import xls format to osc shop, once ep mod installed, just add few items then export the product base,

then let excel open it. Beware don't touch the first row, it's the ep field identifier for im/export.

No matter how your own excel built with formula & vars, just make a xls sheet according the the ep structure.

Tips, an excel sheet that exactly following ep field structure, just press Ctrl-A(means select all) then

paste to notepad(text editior) and save. An let ep import it, guarantee problem never appear, because

plain text file is much easier to handle.

Once excel sheet done means everything done.

Furthermore, if cat. description mod installed, such info located in mysql dbase, not in excel file.

Thank you for your kind reply, but i have few questions.

I have EP installed already, but in admin area I can see many check cases, could you please tell me how to do so that I can only import the products name or model and the price without other attributes because i don't need to edit them.

Also, I am afraid i will do something wrong with the store, so is a backup of the Database in the admin area sufficient in case there is some problem??

Thanks,

If EP installed correctly.

EP appears in Admin---->Catalog-----> click on Easy Populate, EP will comes up,

all ep functions ready to use concisely.

If that the plain text file structure built correctly, all done!

Attribute is optional, ignore it if no use to your case.

Like the previous reply, insert a few items, use EP export function to a file, and open it by excel,

you will know the product base structure; will see what a few items that input, continue edit this file,

select all by (crtl-a), copy, then paste to notepad file.

finally, let ep import the last finished plain text file.

easy to get it done.
