iCommerce Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Hi All, I am new to OS Commerce. I have finished the installation of v2.2 milestone 2 - now off to customizing it. I have few questions regarding admin area: Is it possible to bypass the blue configuration page and go directly to the real configuration page? Is it save to rename /admin/configuration.php to /admin/index.php ? Also, is it possible to have two different admin page? Probably /admin/configuration_simplified.php and /admin/configuration_advanced.php? Basically the first one is a simplified admin page and the other one is advanced admin page. Can I just make a copy and the customize the default /admin/configuration.php to do this? Thank you!!!
♥Vger Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 The question has to be - why would you want to fiddle around with this? I mean - it's not exactly crucial redesign work is it. Vger
iCommerce Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 For question 1 - Because I want to go directly to the configure page hehehe. For question 2 - Basically I just want to have several admin level. I want lower level admin can only change the catalog and higher level admin can change the catalog plus other settings. OMG.. I just realize there's a member counter under my nickname - member no. 154,215.. wow. And you are member 22,462. Only 131,000 higher than me hahaha
Jack_mcs Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 1 - You can add a redirect in the admin/index.php file to open whichever page you want. 2 - You should install the admin access contribution since it handles all of that for you.
