pynchon Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I have looked through the contributions but cannot seem to find what I need. Alkl the vouchers/discounts seem to be redeemable during the check out process ... but I ma hoping that there is either a contribution or a way to apply them to all the prices in the store so the customer can see while they browse, what they will save as a result of the offered discount Does such a contrib exist ? cheers JK
Guest Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 If you want to have sales on the site not just coupons. Check the sale maker contribution it works well and allows for sales by product by catagory or entire catalog. I hope this helps. I don't want to discount the entire store for all visitors ... but just to some that I have distributed a coupon or Promo Code to. I have looked at CCGV (Trad) and it would seem to offer the greatest flexibility, but any promo code issued would still be redeemable after the sale has been made. I was hoping there may be a way for the visitor to enter any promo code into a field on the index page (for example) and if the code was valid it would apply the discount to all visible prices. maybe I hope for too much and will have to make do with coupons/vouchers that are redeemable during the cart process. cheers John K
Guest Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 you may want to use something simpler and more generic for this. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3945 But you do need to generate the coupons or perhaps extract the coupon control from another module and integrate it into the easy discount.
timpaul Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hi, This contribution works well for me. It seperates your customers into 3 categories Retail, Wholesale and VIP. It also changes the prices in all infoboxes and product listing/info pages. Separate_Pricing_Per_Customer_v3.5_1 I hope this helps.
pynchon Posted March 9, 2007 Author Posted March 9, 2007 Bingo thank you enigma ... many many thanks .... how did I miss that one ? .... I'll have a look at it and see how adaptable it is. But it certainly looks like the thing I need .. or at least, provide a good point to start. cheers John K and to timpaul .. I'll have a look at that one too
