dexsense Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Hi everyone. I am trying to change the look of OSCommerce. I changed it about 20%. But some files like category.php is totally consists of PHP code. There is no HTML code to change the heading and look. For example is want to change heading "Category" on the left column, then where can I do it. I would greatly appreciate if you have any documents or articles explaining little customization process. My email addess is [email protected] I shall be very very thankful to you. Thanks Best Regards Wahab Learn to Live & Work like you never need money
acharme Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 See up top there (on this page) where it says 'Network'? If you hold your mouse over that you will see 'Knowledge Base'. Click that and you will find a wealth of help. There is also a search button for those specific little problems. Or go to google and type site:www.oscommerce.com/forums and then your search criteria. Main files to change your site look: catalog/stylesheet.css catalog/index.php catalog/product_info.php catalog/includes/languages/yourlanguage/just about everything in here! When you have found your way through those files and you still can't figure out how to change something, click the red 'Community' button up top there and go to 'Contributions'. It also has a search so that it is incredibly easy to find (for example) 'custom category' or 'customize category' etc. Chances are at least one person has tried to change it before. :D Good luck and remember to back everything and often! learn...love...laugh...live
