robulous
Hi, I started setting up an OSCommerce site, knowing that they wanted to get the data from Quickbooks. This is fine in that there are a few contributions for this. BUT - now they want the entire process automated so that they dont have to do anything. So that quickbooks updates the products within the store at a certain time without them ever having to do anything. Is there a way to link the quickbooks output through QODBC direct to the stores database? They are using QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions 7.0 Thanks Rob
Guest
I would check the Intuit Developers site, it would be QB that would need to be automated so best to check there. Nothing I know of in the contributions will do it.

robulous
Hi Guys, Cheers for your input! Im gonn ahve to have alook at the soap business... Firstly though, i may have a way around this using database connectors, but im not sure how secure and stable this will be (if i can actually get it working) So let me know your thoughts.. I have quickbooks data coming out into Access, this is automatically updating within access when any changes are made in QB. This is done using Microsoft's ODBC connector. I have connected Access to a remote Mysql server, this works both ways, when i change info in either, the other one gets updated. This is done using MyODBC. Now the tricky bit, in the middle of the 2 databases is Access with 2 seperate tables. Is there anyway to link the table from quickbooks to the table going out to the store? With access acting as a kind of joiner, is it necessary to have it in the middle, could it be removed and a more direct link created? One other concern is that QB has about 15000 items in there, does any one know what kind of delay, possible time-out issue may arise with this amount of information? Thanks Rob
