camfam Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 We are finding that anything placed in a cart before setting up an account gets dumped. (those items do not make it to the database). On the surface, I think it is a simple issue of items being placed in an empty account, then when creating an account to complete the order those items are not moved into the newly created account because they are functionally two separate accounts. Specific example: We have received three PayPal notifications of sales and money collected from three new customers but when checking their order for fulfillment, there are no items listed for them in the database. We have their money but don't know what they ordered. Not good. Two questions: 1. Is it possible (how?) to ensure that items placed in the cart BEFORE a customer creates their account are carried forward into the newly created account? 2. Is it possible (how?) to block any orders from being selected before creating an account? Thanks for your help. Brian
Jack_mcs Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 That is generally caused by the loss of the session ID. Are you using oscommerce by itself or is it an extension to an html site? camfam Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 OSCommerce by itself. I enabled Rebuilding the Session ID and that seems to have fixed it. Thanks, Jack. Regards, Brian
