junabiona Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Hello everyone! I'm working on my new webstore, having upgraded from a paypal cart. I'm not experienced at all with .php, so I made the mistake of purchasing a template which resembled the layout that I wanted. (templatemoster.com). After reading the forums, I've noticed several others have had problems with the templatemoster templates, so I'm hoping I can find some help. General problems that I'm having: The Categories box shows my product categories, but also shows the default categories on top of mine. Only mine are links, so they work, but are unreadable thanks to the others. Orders are being placed, but I'm not seeing an actual order show up in the system, and the customers are not recorded. All the payments are being done through paypal, so at the very least, I do have a way to contact them to see what it was they ordered, but this is not how I'd want things to go. Also, its not taking the items out of inventory. Paypal doesn't show what they ordered either, I was hoping the paypal reciept would show what was ordered, like the paypal cart on my old website did, but it seems that it does not. This really isn't a huge problem if the orders weren't being lost by osCommerce. I don't need the different languages, if there is a way to get rid of them, but this isn't a problem if not. The store IS up and functional, but isn't quite where I'd like it to be. I really appreciate any help you can provide. www.element-paintball.com is the address if you'd like to take a look around and see what kind of problems you can find (I'm sure I missed some things) Thanks again!
Guest Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 The image responsible for the categories mess is http://www.element-paintball.com/images/m19.gif It's represented by the bg4 class in your catalog\stylesheet.css and used by the categories box. catalog\includes\boxes\categories.php
junabiona Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 Perfect! now to solve the paypal problem and I'm set I think. Actually, if anyone knows a quick way to make that link that says "visit our forums" actually link to a forum, would be great. Obviously, I don't know a darn thing about .php, but I can design paintball markers. I should get my priorities straight.
